Filling out our intake form is the best way to get started—it helps us understand your needs and how we can best support you. Submitting the form is completely obligation-free and does not commit you to therapy. It’s simply a way to begin the conversation and explore the best options for you.
Once we receive your intake form, our team will contact you to discuss the next steps and answer any questions you may have. Let's work together to support your growth and development!
You will receive a call from us where we’ll ask a few questions to ensure we can support you in the areas you need. We’ll also provide general information about our services. Following this, we will send you a consent form and gather all necessary details to get the below process started.
This session is usually held online or by phone, with the option of an in-person clinic visit if preferred. If the session is for a child, the child does not need to attend, allowing parents or guardians to discuss the child’s needs, concerns, and priorities openly. For adults seeking therapy, the focus will be on your individual needs and goals.
During this meeting, your therapist will gather important information, such as medical history, family dynamics, current therapies, and key areas like social skills, motor skills, sensory processing, emotional development, self-care, and learning. Together, we’ll identify clear goals for the Therapy Plan to ensure everyone is on the same page.
Sessions typically last between 60–90 minutes.
At All Things Therapy, we prioritise creating a safe, welcoming space where you (or your child) can feel comfortable and open to therapy. For children, the first goal is to build trust and rapport, laying the foundation for a successful therapeutic relationship. This initial session is typically attended by a parent or trusted caregiver and involves a mix of play, conversation, and exploration of the purpose of therapy.
For adults seeking therapy, this session focuses on establishing a connection with you and discussing your goals and concerns. The therapist will observe and gather information about your strengths, preferences, and challenges to shape your Therapy Plan.
The session length varies based on individual needs, typically lasting between 30 to 45 minutes.
After the initial steps (and sometimes a few additional sessions), the therapist will create a Therapy Plan outlining key goals, strategies to achieve them, and important details for structuring sessions.
This comprehensive report typically takes 90 to 120 minutes to complete.
Ongoing sessions will be scheduled based on an agreed frequency, with most clients opting for weekly or fortnightly sessions.
